Rev. Ryan P. Bagnal, M.A., NCC, LPC-A

Rev. Ryan P. Bagnal is a licensed psychotherapist, and is the founder and owner of Selah Counseling Services of Sumter, SC. Ryan is a native of Sumter, SC, and holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biology, cum laude, as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is licensed as an LPCA by the State of South Carolina.
Ryan has previously worked in youth ministry, as well as with CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) in Georgia. He is also a professional church musician, having originally majored in music in college.
Ryan’s considers counseling to be a calling on his life, and he views his work with others through the lens of that calling. He believes that each individual is made in the image of his or her Creator and has unique needs. He uses an eclectic approach to counseling. There are no “one size fits all” approaches for clients. He evaluates the needs of each person or couple individually and tailors their experience to them using a multifaceted approach. This can include counseling, solution-focused brief therapy, and health/nutrition coaching. Spiritual integration is also available for those who desire it, but it is absolutely not a requirement for services. Selah Counseling sees people from many different backgrounds.
In his spare time, Ryan likes to listen to and play music, watch movies, talk to people around the world on his Ham radios, and read a good book. He also loves to play with his Dachshund, Daisy, as well as his rescued tuxedo cat, Angel, and her two kittens, Friedrich and Liesl.
Allie Bullard, B.S., M.S. Candidate

Hello, I’m Allie Bullard, a graduate student in Walden University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology, graduating cum laude, and I’m a proud member of two nationally recognized honor societies – Chi Sigma Iota and The Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement. I’m currently beginning my clinical training under supervision at Selah Counseling.
My decision to pursue counseling was both personal and intentional, and it was shaped by my belief that genuine understanding can be truly transformative in someone’s life. I consider it an honor to be trusted with someone’s story, and I approach each counseling relationship with empathy, humility, and a profound respect for the individual and their unique journey.
My goal is for every person I work with to feel truly seen, supported, and valued. I believe growth happens through connection and I strive to help each person move toward healing and a deeper sense of self-understanding through evidenced-based counseling practices and genuine empathy and compassion.
